I have a similar problem here in the UK, where I'm trying to locate the 
FTA cable channels.

Unlike Jan, the cable company aren't very helpful in providing me with 
the neccessary info. I've no idea of the channels, QAM modes etc etc.

I've had a scan around and *think* I've found some digital channels, but 
how on earth does one go any further, without knowing the parameters?
