Yes There is a tool itīs call vdr2dvd(.pl), you can find it at http://www.morticah.net/vdr2dvd/

It's use
ds.jar for demux
mplex
transcode
dvdtools
dvdrecord


I have record some dvd-r with it. 
but I miss this Points.

An I run in truble when the horizontal Pixelvalue is not 720 ,.. 
transcode make error
