[vdr] Mod Info

Hi all,

I just want to give you a quick update on my mods
(release date is getting closer ;o)). It s just what
has been recently implemented (not all mods are
listed)

Move plugin problem: solved. All plugins known
to me now work.

- Added 2 color selection scheme for Elchsytle OSD.
The left part of the info OSD can have a different
color than theright (larger) part of the info osd
 (eyecatcher for most needed info)

- Added a possibility to revert to the orginal color schemes
for both the Elchi OSD & the Main OSD (just in case the
colors become too screwed up) Of course, you can choose
revert to independently for Main & Elchi.

- Changing colors for both Elchi & Main OSD is now "live"S I.e.
you can see the effects of your change immediately. After
satisfiying yourself with both color changes you can flip
between the two colors and see if they fit your style.
clrBackground is now defined externally to be able to
change it via SetupMenu

- Going further: User adjustable colors for symbols (this is
getting ridiculous ;o)))!

- "Fattened up" the 4 key symbols a bit for easier recognition
- Added Cryptotype Symbols V, I, S, C, B
- Added user selectable appearance of Channel Info Display
- full info
- full, info current only
- brief info current
- brief info now /next
- Implemented a diskspace option This option shows USED or
FREE disk capacity onscreen as either numbers or as
colored bars Of course this function is live. This means
you can have a look at your disk space while recording ;o))

- Added One touch recording for audio only
Fattened up replay symbols for easier viewing

- Added three dedicated keys:
Flipchannel:
this does the same as "0" i.e it switches between this & last channel

Info:
If all goes well this allows you to see the summary of a
replay or live view (not fully implemented).

Help:
(not yet implemented) : Allows reading of manuals onscreen
Here I have to figure out a way to be able to read ALL manuals
(i.e. not just VDR, but plugins, too). Will have to use some kind
of browser like in the MP3 plugin.

- The AC3 really stresses VDR, so I added a setup option to enable
reserve buffers. This will prevent most audio cut outs while
navigating the OSD and will prevent the message "kernel buffer empty"
from occuring. Some people complained about intensive CPU useage,
so this can be turned on or off (on my setup it doesn't use *that*
much more cpu power (maybe due to my 512MB RAM ;o))

Please Note: changing this may take a while before it takes effect
Best way to ensure that it starts quickly eithe restart VDR OR
playback a recording and then change to a channel that contains
DD (e.g. Pro-7). Same goes for turning off this function.

Added two new timer types. Now when scheduling manually or
automatically, you can specify what VDR should do:

- Not Active
- Record all
- Record only audio (saves a LOT of diskspace!)
- Just VIEW the movie (this timer is deleted as soon as it starts!)

The new bits that are set are:

taJustView = 8
taJust Audio = 4
if the value is invalid (external programs!) VDR will record
A&V (i.e normal behavior)--> worst case least loss scenario

A scheduald recording for audio only would have the bit combo
4 (taJustAudio)

An instant audio only recording would have the bit combo 5
(taInstant + taJustAudio)

(Info for external programmers who may want to adapt their programs ;o))

Improved Calender patch

If someone complains about too few options in VDR, well,
he can't be helped ;o))

Greetz,
Reinhard
