to give you raw numbers, i had a 200W PSU in my vdrbox (2 full DVB-s,2 HDD, 1.1 GHz Celeron, 128 MB SDRAM, LAN,) and problems, when recording on the second card i had artefacts on tv on the first, to track this i connected a 12V fan and the probs got worse
the PSU had 6A on 12V, thats to low, temporary i have a 350W with 15A on 12V, but will be replaced with a better 250W with 12A on 12V
i think the problem is that the LNB needs 14/18 V and maybe its a little bit "power-consuming" to get this voltage from 12V
