[vdr] Information : MPEG4 Decoder API from SigmaDesigns under linux available

Hello,

Just to say to everyone that the API for the MPEG1/2/4 decoders (EM847x
from SigmaDesigns) is available under linux.

Well it's not open source, there are many binary libs. But the doc seems
to be quite interesting.

If you wanna download it have a look at http://www.gctglobal.com:
ftp://65.242.231.171/IA/MPEG%20decoder/Linux/RMF/RMF-1[1].6.105.0.tar.gz

The card they are selling is about $70, perhaps a good buy no ???

If VDR gods like KS and Andrea can have a look at it...to tell us if
it's possible to use it as a primary device.

For Your Information the API of this card seems to be OK to build native
:
-> DivX 4/5 Player
-> Mp3 / AC3 / ... Player
-> (S)VCD Player
-> DVD Player

The only thing missing would be the DivX3 Replay
But as far as I can understand C/C++ It should be possible to make a
special class (like their RMMP3 Class) with the FFMpeg source To build
the Ultimate SetTop Box.

See you

Philippe
