Hallo List,
I am trying to get a "stable" AC3 output with either Ac3overDVB or
Bitstreamout and VDR 1.1.25 + DVB 1.0.0-pre2 or 1.1.20 with DVB driver from
01.11.2002/1.0.0-pre2.
Has anybody got AC3 working stable ?
And with what versions/settings in ALSA (modules.conf) and bitstreamout ?
What version VDR and DVB ?
At the moment I keep getting sound dropouts when watching Pro7 and more or
less - depends on the Recording - while replaying recordings. It does not
matter if I use AC3overDVB or bitstream.
When using bitstreamout I sometimes see a CRC error and sometimes nothing in
the syslog (/var/log/messages). Sometimes after a sound-dropout the
Audio/Video is out of Sync (with pre2 that could be caused from the bug
mentined here today - I will have to test that again tonight).
The Teletext Plugin was causing a bit of trouble also - not loading helped a
lot - but it is still not stable.
btw. with 1.1.25+pre2+ AC3overDVB-0.1.3 I noticed that an "old bug" is still
there (don't remeber if it was fixed). I somtimes have no sound after
watching Pro7 and then switching to another channel. After switching again
to a third channel sound comes back.
Btw. with 1.0.4+AIO and ac3play everything works fine :)
Here my Configuration :
Suse 8.0 pro
ALSA 0.90rc6 (with bitstream patch)
VDR 1.1.25 with DVB 1.0.0-pre2
VDR 1.1.20 with DVB 01.11.02
Bitstreamout-0.42 - 0.44
AC3overDVB 0.1.3 (only tested with 1.1.25)
Greetings
Christian
