[vdr] Re: [EXPERIMENTAL] new autopid /nvod patch

Hi,
A new version of my autopid/nvod patch is at:
http://www.cs.uni-magdeburg.de/~aschultz/dvd/vdr-1.1.26-autopid.diff.bz2
This version now requires a transponders.conf file which lists all know
digital transponders and their id's. An example for Astra is included. Entrys
in channels.conf *have* to match a transponder. The pid fields in
channels.conf are no longer required, and the frequency fields is only needed
when the tid is not filled in.
NVOD support is not yet complete. NVOD channels are detected and the first pid
thats on the current transponder will be used. It is currently not possible
to select or switch to another start time on those channels. The
channels.conf contains examples for Premiere Direkt [1-4].
Have fun
Andreas
Hi,
as channel switching takes a very long time, is it possible to cache the
pids until there is a change? Or do a backround scan on the channel for
new pids (e.g. teletext)?
