[vdr] which way to show directory structure

Hello,
I am planning to write a little patch/plugin to move
complete recordings to other directories.
But which would be the best way to show this structure on
the OSD to a user who doesn't know much about dirs?

e.g. consider the following structure:
/video
/video/dir1
/video/dir1/dir11
/video/dir1/dir12
/video/dir2
/video/dir2/dir21
/video/dir3

1.) Would it be best to show it as the list above?
2.) Show it with tabs?
main
    dir1
        dir11
        dir12
    dir2
        dir21
    dir3
3.) with Graphs
main
  |-dir1
  |   |-dir11
  |    -dir12
  |-dir2
  |   -dir21
   -dir3
4.) or something completely different?
