Only make-options --> recompiling.

What card do you have? If it is a Hauppauge WinTV DVB-S/Nexus or clone
you can use the remote-plugin instead of LIRC (the hauppauge cards
provide a linux input device for the remote and remote-plugin uses
input-device). With remote-plugin you do not need to recompile.
