I'm using Elchi3 and hw_sections=0 with my DVB-s v1.3 without OSD problems 
anymore. I'm using a recent DVB (2003-04-30) and VDR v1.1.29.
Before using hw_sections=0 I had some problems like e.g. missing lines in 
the menus.
