u should install libirman. after installtion ther is anythere a
testfile, eg. testio or similar...
if the testfile receive the codes from your ir, ist ok.
the next step is to install lirc.
in config script u must select UIR/libirman as device.
compilation and ready and it should work. test it with irrecord

i use the epia and i had many problems with the libirman
finalize i build my advanced ir-receiver for an epia800. now it works
