[vdr] Announcement: vdr2divx 1.6.0 pre4
Now it finally happened - just another release from the 1.6.x series - which i
promised dead long ago - however since i got stuck with the 2.x version i
decided to do some quick public release to be compatible with the
developement of mencoder and pvastrumento !
So what has changed ?
Changes between pre1 (last public release) and pre4:
- Adapted to mplayer/mencoder of todays cvs (20.05.2003) - also read
workaround below...
- Tested with PVAstruemnto 2.0.30 (also tested with 2.0.23a)
- Implemented "UsePVAs auto" Parameter - allowing to generally use PVAstruemto
for syncing, except for streams containing AC3
- Made PVAstrumento handle multiple input files (001.vdr, 002.vdr, ...)
- Used PVAstrumento to create PS - no extra muxer (mplex) needed anymore
- New Feature: ShortLog - definable Script to log Short messages i.e. Encoding
of file XY done. - intended to be displayed on VDR's OSD - that's why short!
- New Feature: CopySummary - if present the summary.vdr from the original
recording can be kept with the new avi (output name *.txt)
- Now Creating Temp Directory if it does not exist - Thanks to anyone
mentioning this one (sorry, i lost my mails and you name :-/ )
- Experimental - Prechecking Stream for errors and reporting them to ShortLog
- Added correct Autosyncing / PVAstruemnto syncing to mencoder commandline
(-mc 0/1)
- Workaround: Added -cache option to mencoder call, to bypass problems with
streaming via pipe into mencoder with certain streams (at least 32MB seem to
work fine - everyone who ever had problems with VDR recordings not recognized
should check this out - maybe try "Cache 65536" if you have enough mem) -
Special thanks to Christian Kuhn helping with this one !
- Set mpeg12 Decoder for mencoder as default - should even make workaround
mentioned above more efficient.
You can (as always) get it from
http://ma.hoff.bei.t-online.de/2divx_wip/2divx160pre4.tar.gz
Now have fun ...
Note:
This is a rather fresh release - i did only some quick tests - at least on the
pre3/4 changes ... So for stable use stay at the 1.6.0pre1 ;-)
Martin.
