Please see my reply under "CRC Check with sections" regarding hw_sections=0.

Are you sure you have used the driver from

 ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/linux-dvb.2003-06-08.tar.bz2

without modifications? Especially _not_ using hw_sections=0?
