It actually does need a patch. I tested it yesterday evening with 0.90
stable. Withcout a patch you don't get any AC3 in the avi. I also took a
look at the patch yesterday and it was not very difficult to create a new
one for newer mplayer :) I saw your question on vdrportal and posted the
new version there. Maybe you can publish it on your websites. If nit I
will send it here on the ML and put it in my HOWTO on vdrportal.
