The card has 2MB of DRAM (which is relatively slow) and 2MB of (fast)
SDRAM. The SDRAM is the one used for video decoding (buffer) and OSD.

Since the TT, Siemens and Hauppauge cards always were said to be
built the same way, it did surprise me that Peter stated there is
a different SDRAM chip on his Hauppauge card than on my Siemens DVB-S.

Maybe there's a mixup between these two chips...

If you look, for instance, at

you can see two chips right below the AV7110. The right one of these has a
gap between the pads in the middle. That's the one named HYB3118165BST-60
on my Siemens DVB-S, and from what I can tell my card looks just like the
one on the above picture (I'm not at home ATM, so I can't actually compare
it).
