[vdr] cpu load remains high when recording is finished

hi,
when a recording starts the cpu load goes up to about 45%-55%. That's ok,
but when the recording is finished the cpu load stays at this level until
I manually switch to another channel.

Is this the expected behavior?

1 fullfeatured dvb card
vdr 1.2.1·
dvb linux-dvb.2003-06-08·
plugins dvd,svcd,teletext,mp3 (but same problem with vanilla vdr)·
kernel 2.4.20·
