well that depends on what takes more time, and what gives best
results, so if you know a safe way to use the lste you could go
ahead. (speed follows function)

but like mentioned, once set up xmltv2vdr is reliable and quite
quick, it has debug and simulation mode, so even when you
build something own, it can be used to verify syntax and so on.

i could supply some sample scripts and some tips.
