Hallo,

one more thing at what time did the hw_sections=0/1 go into the Driver ?
Here is a comment from 2. june 2003 saying "use hw_sections=0 by default 
" :

Maybe the bug came with the hw_section thing - as it is "fixed" (giving
other trouble) with hw_sections=1
