Hmmmm, I found that channel switching is already done by core VDR after 
stopping the plugin... After playing DVDs with mp2 encoded audio things 
work fine. I'm looking for a way to clean up the audio settings after 
replay.

The 'Blue' button seems still to be free in the DVD-Menu if I have RTFM 
correctly ;-)
