Hi,

perhaps you could try vdrconvert http://vdrportal.homelinux.com/vdrconvert/
is can generate menus, use marks.vdr for chapter marking and use requant to fit 2 recordings on one dvd, but it is not so well documented in english, most of the exetended information is in german.
