I think the feature is fine. I mean, the shutdown script knows that a
recording is active and can decide by itself if the user really wants a
shutdown.

and look at the last option: "1" means "The user KNOWS what he/she is
doing and REALLY wants to leave the train at 150 mph" ;-)
