[vdr] Re: OT: DVB-S shortcircuited , tv-out dead anyone help?

OK. As far as I understand that's actually a re-badged Sigma Designs Hollywood+ and I have one of those (though don't use it since it doesn't support WSS). This works for me on the same card so it should be a good starting point for module options should be this:

# For card rev2, chip rev2 and encoder adv7175
options em8300 dicom_fix=0 dicom_control=0 dicom_other_pal=0
below em8300 adv717x
options adv717x pixelport_16bit=0 pixelport_other_pal=1

Add those module options to whatever module loading procedures are used by SUSE. Good luck.

Michal

The problem you are having is related to the bizarre module options
required by the em8300 and adv717x (or bt865) modules. Which version
of
the card do you have? I may be able to help. Could you cat
/dev/proc/em8300/0 (I think that's correct from memory) and let us
know
what info you got?
