The LG 4040 and 4081 seem to be good and cheap enough. The NEC ND 1300/2500 
are really cheap and widespread too allthough not as good as the LG or the 
pioner/plextor drives. If you think about TEAC its not worth the money as it 
are relabeled pioneer drives and the pioneer's are cheaper then the teac 
drives.
