as far as I know you have about 3 options you might dislike.

first of all if you CPU is too slow to display the MPEG stream, it is
too slow to transcode it on the fly to a stream with less quality ...

1. buy a faster CPU
2. get a DXR3 or similar MPEG Hardware decoder card
3. buy yourself a fullfeatured card
