This version works better ;-)
But it's exacly the same behaviour than the original one:

Mar  9 21:59:53 greg vdr[11665]: connect from 127.0.0.1, port 36820 - accepted
Mar  9 22:02:35 greg vdr[11665]: lost connection to SVDRP client
Mar  9 22:02:35 greg vdr[11665]: ERROR (svdrp.c,362): Broken pipe
Mar  9 22:02:35 greg vdr[11665]: closing SVDRP connection

I don't know why...
