[vdr] Re: channels.conf modified

Thanks for replying,
I think you are right and so the problem should be somewhere else. I try to investigate the problem in a deeper manner.

Thanks,

Samuele

I have added one entry in my vdr's channels.conf to watch an anolog
channel. I live in Italy(PAL)and my WinTv card is on /dev/video1. The
line added is as follow:

Rai Due:519250:B6C12D0:C:0:160:80:0:A0:65000:0:0:0
----------------------^^^^^^^^---------------------------------------

When I start VDR (vdr -P analogtv -d) I find out that my channels.conf
has been modified...the added line results as

Rai Due:519250:C12D0B6:C:0:160:80:0:A0:65000:0:0:0
----------------------^^^^^^^^---------------------------------------

Since the Parameters (C=12, D=0, B=6) are the same, but only their order has changed, I guess the problem would be somewhere else...

The NORM, CAPTURE DEVICE, VIDEO SOURCE parameters have been altered. I
can't watch my analog channel. Is it the right behaviour or such a
run-time modification is wrong?

Since VDR saves back the channels.conf, this should be okay. As stated, only the parameter order has changed, which probably is caused because VDR saves those parameters always in a fixed order, which is hardcoded in the source. (Everything else, e.g. remembering the original order, wouldn't make any sense anyway...)

Greetings,
Sascha
