[vdr] vdr compiling p[roblem

I have a CHAINTECH DVB tuner card - DST-1000
installed in my PIII 733 pc running Mandrake 9.2 with kernel upgraded to 
2.6.3  with the driver compiled as a module

With these lines added to /etc/modprobe.preload it works OK using xine

	bttv i2c_hw=1 card=0x71
	dvb-bt8xx
	dst


I've read the INSTALL file in the vdr-1.2.6 package but I have a problem(s) 
compiling it

this the out put of compiling the package dvbapi

./fig2pstex dvbstb.fig
./fig2pstex: line 3: fig2dev: command not found
./fig2pstex: line 4: fig2dev: command not found
grep: dvbstb.ps: No such file or directory
cat: dvbstb.pst2: No such file or directory
rm: cannot remove `dvbstb.pst2': No such file or directory
make: *** [dvbstb.ps] Error 1

and this is the out put of compiling the vdr-1.2.6

I think it's clear I'm a newbie and may be some good soul could instruct me 
in detail - may be  with links to the needed packages - to compile vdr ?
