Hi, Carsten Koch wrote:I received my SuSE Linux 9.1 update today and tried to install from scratch using XFS.I know, it´s not a good idea to give stupid tips, but I would recommend to get rid of the SuSE Kernel. SuSE applies normally so much patches, that the Kernel is "overpatched". Try a vanilla 2.4.25 (or later) kernel from kernel.org
It's a chicken and egg problem. :-) I cannot install a vanilla kernel without a running system. As I said, the *installation* crashes. However, there is a solution: (English): http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2004/04/91_xfsfix.html (German): http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/47029 http://portal.suse.com/sdb/de/2004/04/91_xfsfix.html Carsten. -- Info: To unsubscribe send a mail to ecartis@linuxtv.org with "unsubscribe vdr" as subject.
