I'm running VDR on a hush (M10000). TechniSat SkyStar 2, Fedora Core 1,
2.6.3 hand rolled kernel, xine built from CVS, vdr-xine, lircd with home
made serial IR receiver. The video driver is unichrome r16 from the
sourceforge project.

This machine is my work machine during the day and our TV in the
evening. I am in France and so VDR helps me watch the BBC by time
shifting shows that run 1 hour later.

Current problems: I don't have a large HD or a DVD-R so keeping films is
difficult. The HW mpeg2 acceleration for xine is about a month away. The
main developer has estimated 40 hours to modify the stuff from the buggy
VIA modified version of xine (VeXP). I have not been able to compile VDR
support into VeXP because of video driver and audio driver issues.

Current projects: a 16:9 1280x768 TFT screen, Dell has a special offer
on its 17" TFT TV. I also like the Samsung range of 16:9 TV/TFT combo
units (I currently use a Samsung 15" 150MB with svga, composite and
s-video in - composite feed is from analog satellite tuner). An external
100 Mb+ firewire HD to be mounted as /video.

Cheers
