Are you using 'xine -V xv'? That doesn't work for me.

'xine -V xshm' should work. At a video size of 50 %, my P4 2.8 GHz has a load of ~70 % with enabled deinterlacer ('-D') (HyperThreading enabled, kernel 2.6.5).

'-V vidix' might work too. For my Matrox 550 I had to force xine to assume 32 MB gfx memory. The improperly detected 16 MB resulted in a similar crash. Sad to say, that either the hardware scaler or the current vidix driver only support a video image up to a size of 1024x1024, which leads to a folded 1920x1088 image.

Bye.
