[vdr] Re: VDR and TV OUT

Not exactly true. Not that I am trying to flog a commercial site, but there
are 2 dealers that I know of selling expansion cards for use with the J2
Header. There is one in germany who has a SCART add on board which can be
used for RGB signals, and another here in Canada that has one with an
SVideo, optical and coax spdif ports.

For people like myself who have some kind of deficiency when it comes to
soldering, these ready made products are great.

Disclaimer: I have not actually tried either of these expansion boards yet,
but plan on ordering one of the SVideo ones in the near future.

If anyone wants the links for the dealers, they can email off list, so I
don't get in trouble for posting it en masse.

sk.

No, you can use the video output on the nexus card and yes it will show the
OSD also. A way to improve the video quality is to use S-VHS or RGB
connection
that was available on some DVB cards as header (J2)
I'm not sure if the nexus has the J2 and even then, there's no commercial
avaliable cable
to connect the J2.
