I agree with you 100%. But at the same time, it would be nice to take
advantage of the mpeg decoder of the full featured cards. I think that
tvtime is actually able to do this. I think it reads the v4l2 stream the
decoder produces and displays that using Xv (the directfb part never
worked AFAIK)
