The hex numbers are the DiSEqC commands to control the switch. If you
want the details, search for the DiSEqC standard. There are different
kind of 4-port switches, requiring different command sequences. I have
the following switch that can be configured for different modes:

I think that I'm using mode 1, with the following diseqc.conf:
