[vdr] VDR with TT budget card, howto ?

Sorry if this is a FAQ from a newbie.

Anyway, could someone please tell what are the main options to make
VDR work  with a budget card.

My TT budget now works well with standalone mplayer and xine. VDR with
the xine plugin works somewhat, but I e.g.cannot get the the OSD work, not
to talk about the remote.

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S.
I am running Fedora Core 2, with a 2.6.7 stock kernel. Never managed to 
get the
DVB drivers work on 2.6.9, they seemed broken (?)
