One way of handling this:
Once a week, run a script that puts some special recognizable character
in front of the name, like '-'. Channels that are still available will
revert to their original name on next epg scan. Channels that are gone
will collect -'s over time, and you can simply delete channels that are
staring with '----', as they werent seen for 4 weeks.
