If I disable "suspend mode" vdr does not seem to crash with streaming.
Switching channels with the client in "suspend mode" is what I am 
assuming you are referring to?  Yes, there are still some threading 
problems with vdr to be worked out.  When it locks up, I get an error 
similar to this:

vdr[9972]: ERROR: thread 1671177 won't end (waited 3 seconds) - 
cancelling it...
