Hi,

I'm currently testing your changes to use xine over the network.
It works quite well.
Thanks, but don't look into the source.

It seems the Pause function doesn't work anymore.
For me it isn't working with FIFO-vdr-xine as well... Don't know and care
why currently.

I haven't tried to launch 2 xine clients, i guess it won't work.
Your guess is right, just because it was a quick'n'dirty hack.

But since vdr-xine now works over the network, i'm pretty sure this
feature would become useful :)
Could the video be multicasted rather than anycasted ? (would it
difficult to implement ?)
Maybe the streamdev plugin should provide such thing?

For now (and for me, as I didn't understand the whole thing about vdr-xine and vdr-plugins in general yet) the task is to remove the FIFO stuff completely and use sockets (even for localhost) instead.

Unfortunately there is no public CVS for vdr-xine, then it would be much easier to have user tests latest changes in such field. I asked Reinhard already about that and he starts thinking about it :).

thanks for testing and reporting,
Patrick.
