Thanks for the fast reaction Petri, but I 'm a newbi and my experience is, "don't mix apt-get... and compiling", does it mean that I have to compile vdr and all the plugins too?
Is the documentation that comes with the sources clear for us?

If Ubuntu does not provide a version of xineliboutput that is
compatible with version 1.5.x or 1.6.0 of VDR, you could compile one
yourself. You can get the most recent version from cvs:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@xineliboutput.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/xineliboutput
co vdr-xineliboutput
-Petri
