I never had a SuSE 8.1 system running, so i can't tell for shure
but if it is 2.6 aware....
Also the PC with the card is disassembled right now.
first: you need to load a module named "firmware_class"
As far as i remember the frontend (tda1004x) gets initialized at
the first device open, so when you i.e. run tzap or a DVB application.
Then you should find a message "waiting for firmware upload"
this should do it.
