I see. Thanks for the tip.

Actually, I should have mentioned that I had already tried to tune JSTV
(the encrypted channel I am struggling to watch) without success.

szap gave the following output (a stream could be read from dvr0 but
apparently was not decrypted, as none of the players I tried could
decode it):

status 1f | signal c6c8 | snr d776 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK

while gnutv reported this (and no stream was present at dvr0):

status S | signal bb77 | snr 8feb | ber 0000ff08 | unc 00000000 |

On the other side, "gnutv -cammenu" at least caused the CAM to give some
sign of life:

santinod at romilda:~$ gnutv -cammenu
CAM Application type: 01
CAM Application manufacturer: d000
CAM Manufacturer code: 0000
CAM Menu string: CryptoWorks
CAM supports the following ca system ids:
Main menu of CryptoWorks CI module
Please select an item
0. Quit menu
1. General Smartcard information
2. Available entitlements
3. Smart card management
4. Language
5. Check for new software
CryptoWorks V4.00.008
Enter option:

(all menu options appear to work - i.e. cause some other sumbenus to be
displayed - but no listed option seems useful.)

I'm a bit puzzled...
