A hybrid ATSC USB device.
This USB 2.0 stick is currently unsupported by LinuxTV, however, experimental support for the device exists (see here).
The device identifies itself as a "PCTV 800e" and the subsystem information provided by lsusb -v
is 2304:0227.
The USB stick consists of two boards: one with the USB and A/V connectors, the other with the RF connector. The two boards are joined(soldered) together with two 7 pin headers, one on each side of the board. I (User:Emeitner) am unwilling to unsolder the pins and risk damaging the device, so whatever is inside the "sandwich" is still unknown. But visible chips include:
- Xceive xc3028ACQ (tuner and analog IF demodulator)
- LG DT3303 (digital demodulator)
- There is also a CPLD: lc4032v
In all likelihood, the device is identical, or near identical, to the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-950 and Elgato EyeTV Hybrid US.
