MPEG2 Stream Format, specified as part of the MPEG2 Standard in ITU-T H.222.0. Used for transport channels, e.g. when streaming MPEG2 content over networks.
Networks can be e.g. computer networks, DVB-C Cable Networks DVB-S Satellite Networks or DVB-T Networks.
The MPEG2 Transport Stream Format specifies how to encapsulate MPEG2 Elementary Stream Packets, the MPEG2 Multiplexing procedure, and how to add additional information like PSI Tables and Sync Information.
