TBS 5280 is an USB interface digital terrestrial TV box with two tuners for watching and recording Freeview SD or HD channels on PC. The two tuners enable you to watch TV channel on one multiplex while recording another channel on another multiplex simultaneously. It’s ready with Linux driver up to the latest kernel.

Making it work

I.1 extract linux-tbs-drivers.tar.bz2 archive:

  1. tar xjvf linux-tbs-drivers.tar.bz2

I.2 go to driver package directory:

  1. cd linux-tbs-drivers

I.3 build and install the driver:

  1. make && make install

I.4 reboot in order to load the newly installed driver:

  1. shutdown -r now
