This article is about the Swiss semiconductor manufacturer and designer, Micronas.

History

  • Founded in June 1989 as Crosstec Engineering AG.
  • Renamed to Micronas after takeover of Micronas Oy, Finland from Nokia in 1992.
  • Micronas acquired WISchip in October 2005 (which becomes Micronas USA ?) [1] [2]
  • Sold its consumer electronics division to Trident Microsystems, Inc. on the 1st April, 2009.[3] [4]
