ConvertX PVR PX-TV402U. It is an external usb2 realtime capture device that can encode external (analog) input or (analog) tv to mpeg2/divx in realtime. It has a full linux SDK which has an open licence. Firmware is included with the sdk, this firmware does not have an open licence. It has a realtime hardware DivX/Xvid, mpeg 1,2,4 encoder. It has a S-Video, RCA, and RF input. It also has a remote control. Image There is a similar model that does not include the tv tuner. 'ConvertX PX-M402U'. In the U.S they have a version with an ntsc tuner. In china Chinese Version they have the TV version, and china uses PAL. Also, plextor europe, European Version has the same product. This product is not available in Australia. Australia uses the pal b and pal g standards, italy also happens to use the same standards, but it is unknown whether the european version (or other) version works in Australia.
