Typhoon/KNC1 DVB-S with new Tuner SU1278/SH-2 aka KNC Plus
There seems to be a new revision of the Typhoon/KNC1 DVB-S with new Tuner SU1278/SH-2 aka KNC Plus.
The new version of the KNC card apparently uses "KNC One" (0x1894) as PCI Vendor ID instead of "Philips" (0x1131).

Kernels up to 2.6.15 do not recognize it, 2.6.16-rc4 does.
I got a Typhoon/KNC1 DVB-S Budget card. It seems that it doesn't work with linux at the moment.
However I haven't got it to work properly yet. Kernel sees it and everything, but it permanently (like every second) loses LOCK und thus reception. Since the card works fine under Win XP I assume it's not the card or reception that's broken...

I used drivers from kernel 2.6.12.4 .

I found [[this|http://www.linuxtv.org/pipermail/linuxtv-cvs/2005-August/000775.html]] on the linux-tv CVS mailinglist, perhaps it solves our problem. I did't tried it out yet.
