I am a user of LinuxTV and an owner of TerraTec Cinergy 1200 DVB-C, which I just purchased as my first TV tuner card ever. It turned out to be the new version, which isn't yet supported. However, I found this patch and with it the card appears to work without any problems. I live in Finland and watch cable TV.

I know mostly nothing about these DVB thingies, I used to point and laugh at the digital television in general and I have absolutely no involvement in the LinuxTV development. I am sure these things combined make me an excellent contributor to this wiki. --Lakefall 20:05, 27 February 2007 (CET)

While you poke fun at yourself, the truth is that your contribution is valuable. As you discovered yourself, the wiki seems to be rather susceptible to 'article rot' .... unlike high traffic wikis such as wikipedia, where articles tend to be adopted by several individuals and kept up to date.

I didn't mean to imply my contribution isn't valuable. Yes, I poked fun at myself and probably exaggerated my lack of knowledge a little, but mainly I was trying to give a short summary about myself. My point was I don't actively follow LinuxTV development, so basically all I can do is to tell if the card I have works for me or not, google the other hardware hoping the information out there is accurate, write things about software like Kaffeine and rearrange things on pages or the pages themselves. --Lakefall 16:41, 18 April 2007 (CEST)

Nothing wrong with that :) ... just wish there was more "casual users" like yourself who would make such submissions.
