developers please read this, Signed-off-by: is now required
on CVS commits and when submitting patches

Please submit patches to the DVB driver to the linux-dvb mailing list,
http://linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo.

For info on preparing the patches, please read the file
linux/Documentation/SubmittingPatches, which is distributed
with the kernel sources.

*****************************************************************
Especially we request that you sign off your patches
according to the "Developer's Certificate of Origin" with
a Signed-off-by: line (see linux/Documentation/SubmittingPatches).
*****************************************************************

For developers with CVS commit access it is required to add
a Signed-off-by: line to the CVS commit message. It would
also be nice to keep in mind when writing the CVS commit
messages that we will use them later when forwarding
the patches for inclusion into Linus' kernel, so they
will end up in the kernel changelog.

A side effect of the Signed-off-by: line is that you
will get automatic mail notifcation when your patches
are submitted to lkml and accepted into the kernel
(thanks to http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/quilt).

That sounds reasonable.

I wouldn't do that. S-O-B does imply that they have read, agreed to and
complied with the "Developer's Certificate of Origin" from
Documentation/SubmittingPatches. That is not a thing which person A should
be asserting on person B's behalf.

Yes please.
