No. They seem to have some kind of active packet firewall -- when you
configure dvbd to connect, traceroute automagically starts to work (as does
ping, telnet to proxy port 8080 etc). You kill dvbd -- it doesn't work
again!

It was driving me nuts until I figured it out...
