Exporting /dev over nfs does not export the devices, just the device
special files (ie what is on disk).  It is no different than just
mknod(8)ing the device special files on the workstation's local disk....

(It is not an uncommon thing to try, though.  We've all done it -- or
wanted to -- once.)
